SECONDARY Secondary students will be asked to complete an assessment in their first week and the results will form part of an individual tutoring programme. They will also be asked to bring along their course outline for the subject. The outline will be discussed in detail and tutoring will ensure the student is familiar with the subject in advance of the topic being introduced in the classroom. This means that the students can consolidate their learning of particular topics through their classroomwork instead of it being a new concept to them. ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Although the majority of work undertaken by students will be based on their course, the basics, where appropriate, will also be taught. Students will be exposed to a multi-media environment in their learning. Written, oral, practical, computer based and games will all be used to encourage students' learning.
It is recommended that students receive tutoring in either Maths or English. If students need a little help in both subjects, then they should enrol for Maths for one term and then switch to English for the next or vice versa. On very rare occasions we may be able to accomodate students who wish to alternate between Maths and English on a weekly basis.
